In English class my work was to compare and contrast the book of Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare and the movie. The main idea of the book and the movie is the same because both consist in an impossible love of two young kids from different families that hate each other, at the end the principal characters die and the family feud ends, but the details of the movie and the book are very different, the book is written in the past and the movie is in modern life.
I preferred the book than the movie because it present more themes, it is more specific and it include much more detail, for example in the first part of the story in the book in the party where they meet Romeo all ready knows she is a Capulet but in the movie they didn't know they are from different families until they are separated by their friends, and in the balcony scene in the book Romeo express more his love and is a longer scene but in the movie it is very short and they just say they love each other and that they should meet at the other day. In the book their love simply look stronger and more powerful. Of course in the movie Romeo seems more pretty and much more perfect but it doesn't change the fact the book is better and they describe their love story better.
to conclude i like more the book because it have more detail and more descriptions in characters, places and scenes.
